Happy 18th Birthday Little Belle!

I have been following your journey since  fall 2015, just a short while after Irene started your Facebook page. I adopted a small scared chihuahua from my local rescue in feb 2015. He was left outside- cold and alone during an brutal Chicago winter. I saw his picture and knew he was mine, just as Irene knew you were hers. I loved watching your bravery and courage overcoming all obsticles and learning to”see” the world without seeing. I was at work when I found out you had cancer and I locked myself in the bathroom and cried. My mother had the same squamous cell tumor that you had. I was heartbroken for you and Irene. I know what we went through and I am so lucky to still have my mother. I am devastated that such a wonderful human lost her best companion who deserves to be with her for all of her years on this earth.  No matter what you were going through, the positivity and inspiration on every post was so beautiful. It makes me want to see the world through your eyes and be a better person.

Littke Belle and Irene – you are both beautiful soles and your attitude toward life is an inspiration. You have both touched so many people and I hope this begins more positive change towards differently abled animals and just that anyone reading the wonderful positivity against all odds will bring a piece of it with them. I have never written on your page but I have follows you for 1.5 years and have been inspired and have changed as a person from both of you – both Little Belle and Irene. Happy Birthday Little Belle!
